Door Magnet Care
of your Vehicle Magnets.
Here at Street Graphex, we have
taken the time to research and put together this fact page for you about the use
and care of Vehicle Magnets. It is our recommendation that vehicles are
decorated with vinyl graphics so if your intention is leave the magnets in place
long term, we recommend using vinyl lettering instead. You can get a much
cleaner look without the magnetic background. If you would like more information
on designing your car or truck sign using vinyl lettering please call us.
By purchasing Vehicle Magnets from Street Graphex,
read them carefully. If you do not wish follow these terms, Street Graphex will
not be able to provide Vehicle Magnets to you.

you are planning to use these magnets with a magnet to determine that it is
steel. Magnets are not returnable.

Please understand that trapped moisture, dirt or chemicals may harm
your vehicle's finish. To protect the new, clear coat/base coat and vinyl
surfaces present on some new vehicles, it is recommended the signs be removed
daily and both the signs and vehicle be cleaned and dried. Pay close attention,
especially for the first 90 days of use, for any changes in your vehicle
finish. A generous waxing of both the surface where the signs will be placed
and the backs of the signs themselves will help prevent damage. You MUST ALLOW
WAX to cure properly!
1 - Prior to application, clean the metallic
surface and Vehicle Magnets with a mild detergent. Wipe with a soft cloth and
allow to dry.
2 - Determine the location to place Vehicle Magnets
Before affixing Vehicle Magnets to a metal surface, be sure all surface paints,
clear coats and waxes are cured or hardened. Approximate curing times are:
♦ paint - 90 days,
♦ clear coat - 60
♦ wax - 2 days.
3 - Affix Vehicle
Magnets onto the surface. Make sure that the Vehicle Magnet is flat over the
entire surface. There must be no air pockets, the corners and edges should be
smooth and flush with the the surface. To adjust the location of Vehicle Magnets
after placement, remove completely and reposition by lifting at the sides to
remove, not the corners. Please note that sliding Vehicle Magnets into position
may cause stretching.
Magnetic signs are easily removed! If your vehicle is parked in the
open, remove the signs and place them inside the vehicle. That way the signs
will stay in your possession!
